The cut scenes are very well drawn and rendered with a very romantic and highly developed feel. The story seems childish because of the way the game looks, but it is actually very immersive and it has barrels of character. Little Big Adventure 2 Twinsen's Odyssey is a good game for its era, and it still has replay value today, but like the Metal Gear Solid games soon to follow, it relies on its story to turn a mediocre game into a great one.
